By participating in the Komen Central Valley Race for the Cure, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the fight to end Breast Cancer.
Make yourself noticed by being one of the Top 100 fundraisers and receive a special T-Shirt
to be worn on Race Day for all those to see! In order to qualify, you must raise a minimum of
$300 or more. Shirts will go to the highest 100 fundraisers!
The individual who raises the most pledges will not only get the special T-Shirt,
but also have their picture posted on our web-site for all to see and know who
the winner is. You will also get the (1) American Airlines or American Eagle
ticket to be used to fly anywhere in the contiguous US, and to be acknowledged
on stage on Race day.
Even if you don’t make the top 100 fundraisers, if you raise at least $150.00 -
$299.00 you will receive a special button to wear that says “I’m a Rising Star”,
so you too will be recognized for all of your efforts in fundraising as well… million could die over the next 25 years.
Without a cure, an estimated 25 million women around the world will be diagnosed with and 10 million could die over the next 25 years.

Fundraising Tips
Not only are your family members, friends and co-workers potential donors but people you have daily contact with that you have established a relationship with in one way or another like neighbors, members at the gym, etc….Ask your work for matching funds. Challenge your friends, whoever gives the most take to dinner. However you raise the money, have fun and know it’s going to a great cause.
Teams get involved
Our teams play an important role in our community’s future. Fact, 2008 Komen Central Valley Race for the Cure teams raised over $113,000.00 in pledges. At least 75% of those net funds went directly to local programs in our service area and up to 25% went to our National Award and Research Program.

Prizes will be awarded by the pledges we receive by NOON October 23, 2009

will only be available for pick up at Race. All winners will be listed on our web-site after Race Day.
