What is the 200 Challenge?
Last year we asked you to make an impact by donating $125 in addition to the $20 Race entry fee. $125 was the cost for a life-saving ANALOG mammogram. All major mammography facilities in Fresno and surrounding areas have upgraded to DIGITAL mammogram machines. The fees for screening with updated equipment and radiology charges have increased to $200. Since the Every Woman Counts program will no longer provide breast cancer screening to women age 40-49, Komen Central Valley will be the only source of funding to ensure access to this state of the art screening.
